Clemency: The Governor has the authority to commute any death sentence into confinement for a length of time that the Governor deems appropriate.
Who Decides Sentence: Jury
Method of Execution: Maryland authorizes lethal injection for those whose capital offences occurred as of 3/25/94. People who committed the offense before that date may select lethal injection or gas chamber.
